I’m always thrilled when I get a housewarming invitation. Finding a dream place that’s just right is a slog to be honest. It means late night showings bouncing around the City and not only having to find the perfect neighbourhood but also the perfect piece of real estate. BUT once the papers are signed, the moving truck has left and the boxes are starting to get unpacked, you finally have a chance to just fall in love with your home. Whether it’s the floor to ceiling windows, the vintage wood floors, the beautiful trim, or the breathtaking views, it’s time to be house proud and celebrate with friends!
Month: January 2017
Celebrating my birthday has always been one of my favourite things to do, and selfishly, I do enjoy being the center of attention. The problem with getting older (and celebrating in the bitter winter) is that you tend not to plan or do anything. I understand – it’s a pain in the ass, especially if you have a large group of friends that you want to celebrate with. Which restaurants even take reservations over groups of 10 people? And all the hassle about prix fixe menus? No, thank you.
December 31st 2016: New YEAR, New YOU!
January 6th 2017: New Year, Old Routine
So, how is that New Year, New You fitness pledge going? Or, has it even begun?
Maybe it’s the new year, maybe I’m just bored, or perhaps it’s the cultural shift towards minimalism (think: Marie Kondo, Tiny Homes revolution) but I want to streamline what I carry on my shoulder. I’ve been searching the a new handbag for a while…after much much online shopping and many mall wanderings I’ve found the perfect cross body bag!! Even better: the designer is Canadian and the price is…. AFFORDABLE!!!!
Feeling those winter blues? The post-Christmas/New Years detox can be downright depressing. Days are short (really really short), which makes it almost impossible to muster the strength to do anything besides Netflix and Pajama-ing. Don’t get me wrong, on some days I fully approve of Pajam-flix.
