Halloween in Retrograde

If you’re one of those people who think, “Man, I really wish I didn’t have to deal with this” when Halloween comes around, this probably isn’t the blog post for you. No hard feelings if you click the x. It’s a totally understandable stance, it’s just we are probably not ever going to be friends.

Stranger Things Cake

I’m freaking out about a few things these days…one of them being the new season of Stranger Things (OMG!) and the is finding the perfect Halloween costume (stay tuned for a Trade and Charm Halloween costume retrospective)! Who doesn’t love Stranger Things? The kids are so adorable and the show is the perfect way to get things spooky-ba-ba-dooky this Halloween. My Stranger Things sheet cake is literally the easiest thing to pull together (I did it while getting my costume ready!) but it’s so impressive that people were taking pics of it all night!

Best Autumn Hikes in Toronto to see Fall Colours

Canada is not called Glorious and Free by coincidence, and this term isn’t just reserved for our Western neighbours. Canada (all of Canada) is a spectacularly gorgeous country. Lauren and I have been travelling so much lately we needed a reminder of how blessed we are to have such bountiful nature in our backyard. Especially the end of summer can sometimes get us into a funk. The days are shorter, colder, with less light, and not that I am one of those “Mercury is in retrograde” type of gals, but I do feel the effect of less sunshine on my mental state.

Bicycle Wine Tour Basics: Girls Getaway

Every fall, when the leaves change colour, and the weather turns cool and crisp, my girlfriends and I plan a weekend away from the city. Sounds romantic right? Siena is often overlooked. Nestled between the two powerhouse Italian cities, Florence and Rome, unless Siena is specifically on your travel itinerary, it’s easy to whiz by on the A1 onto bigger cities. But with plenty to see and plenty more places to eat, our Tuscan road trip through the Val d’Orcia (think endless rolling hills of green, tall cyprus trees and fields of wheat) started off in medieval Siena. All you need is a car, a map and your best sense of adventure!

Abby Does Toronto

This past weekend, I got to spend some quality time with my fur baby, Abby! Abby lives with my mom, about an hour and a half away, so it’s hard for me to see her since I moved to the city 4 years ago. Abby is quite literally, the sweetest golden girl you have ever met.

Easy As Pumpkin Pie

Thanksgiving snuck up on me this year. With temperatures that belong in the dead of July who could think about turkey, stuffing, and gravy? But the heat wave has finally broken and now I can finally embrace Thanksgiving in all it’s glory. Nothing says Thanksgiving to me than my mom’s stuffing and pumpkin pie! Unfortunately, the stuffing recipe is a fiercely guarded family secret (sorry!) but my pumpkin pie recipe is sooo easy I can’t resist sharing it with you!
