There is always that one person in your (not so immediate) friend group that always takes Christmas gifts to the next level by being super creative. Although I am down for some originality in gifts I give and get, a slow panic sets in when I feel Christmas creeping. I think, that betch is going to give me something super thoughtful and amazing and I am THE WORST FRIEND EVER because I’ve left this to the absolute last minute.
If you’re one of those people who think, “Man, I really wish I didn’t have to deal with this” when Halloween comes around, this probably isn’t the blog post for you. No hard feelings if you click the x. It’s a totally understandable stance, it’s just we are probably not ever going to be friends.
This past weekend, I got to spend some quality time with my fur baby, Abby! Abby lives with my mom, about an hour and a half away, so it’s hard for me to see her since I moved to the city 4 years ago. Abby is quite literally, the sweetest golden girl you have ever met.
Jessica and I stumbled onto something ah-mazing and we can’t wait to share it with you. How does fields of gorgeous, blooming, colourful blossoms as far as the eye can see sound? In a few weeks time this place will be blowing up your social media and the hordes will descend, so you must grab your bestie and GO GO GO asap! Lavender-schmlavendar – all aboard the dahlia train!
The perfect picnic does not exist, but a girl can certainly try! Summer is in full swing (albeit it’s been more of a sluggish meander)! We are finally getting some warmer weather to enjoy the sun. One of the easiest ways to enjoy the outdoors – without heading outside of the city – is planning a picnic in your favourite green space. Picnics are an informal way to spend time with your friends or loved ones, to just relax and read a good book by yourself, or chill with your dog. ‘Cause lets be real, dogs are better than humans. Almost always.
Pineapples are everywhere at the moment. Throw pillows, candles, prints on your wall. That’s right, you’re basically taking design inspo from your mom who’s obsessed with Tommy Bahama. Oh well, pineapples are cute AF. Especially when you’re wearing one! Jcrew has some cute pineapple t-shirts but I was feeling crafty and decided to try my hand at DIY-ing a pineapple “printed” t-shirt. I think it turned out pretty cute!
Here’s what I believe: Cream cheese frosting is non-negotiable, nuts add great texture and flavour, and raisins don’t belong anywhere within a 2-mile radius of my carrot cake. The cold hard truth? I make the best carrot cake in the entire world. Universe. Galaxy. Get on the Jessica train, because I am about to blow your mind.
I’m so excited for this blogpost because it’s our inaugural DIY post – Yippee! Jess and I don’t consider ourselves super crafty but we do have a few good ideas rattling around for DIY’s that are cute, simple and quick. Perfect for when you get in a crafty artsy mood. Today, we’re sharing an easy way to spruce up ugly plastic planters that come with cheapie flowers or herbs. We love picking up flowers or herbs but we hate the plain containers. We found a super simple way to transform plain plastic or terra cotta containers into pretty braided clay planters in 45 minutes!
Valentine’s Day is upon us once again! Hurrah! For most ladies (and gents) with a special someone, Valentine’s Day matters. The fact that V-Day matters really isn’t debatable my darlings. For some, February 14th is just another day, but for others, Valentine’s Day is the best day of the year to say “I love you” in a special way.
